Weigel's opens Anderson County's 1st E85 pump - 10/9/08 East Tennessee Smart Energy Odyssey - 10/3/08 Earth Fest 2008 - 4/26/08 Weigel's opens Anderson County's 1st E85 pump - 10/9/08Weigel's opened their first E85 pump in Clinton, TN that Thursday, and reduced the price of the E85 during the afternoon to attract some local customers! We're working to see if other locations would work for them to put in E85, too. The new Clinton Weigel's is a very nice station with lots of room, the E85 pump is located on one of the outside toward the street, and they've put the E85 price on the readerboard. It's a great location being right off of I-75 (exit 122)!
East Tennessee Smart Energy Odyssey - 10/3/08The ETCFC and the Chattanooga Green Committee partnered to bring this learning experience to downtown Chattanooga in early October. We had roughly 25 exhibitors come and setup shop to talk about their work toward smarter energy options in both the stationary and transportation sectors (we also had some smart food and agriculture booths, too). With Mother Nature cooperating, it ended up being a great day! 500-600 people showed up to see what all the fuss was about, and many left having learned a few new things about what's going on in our country to change the "status quo."
Earth Fest 2008 - 4/26/08The event moved to a new location (on the Pellisippi State campus) and Mother Nature essentially held the rain at bay. A very nice day and lots of good discussions with young and old about reducing petroleum dependence and the real drivers for increasing world-wide food prices.
